Happy New Year! As we get ready to start fresh with a new year, let’s take some time to think about what our goals are. If you have been thinking of starting a new healthy routine, one of the best ways is by using essential oils. Essential oils can help you feel more relaxed and happy – just two things that will also help your new year be successful!
So let’s talk oils. Essential oils have been around for centuries and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon because of how versatile they are. They can be used in so many different ways – from cooking to cleaning, you name it! One way that moms will love essential oils is for their emotional well-being. If your New Year’s resolution is to take care of yourself more this year then do it with these five essential oils below!
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense essential oil is one of those miracle oils, as it’s been said to help reduce arthritis, help against the anti-aging process, and it may fight against certain cancers. For those of us that want to diffuse our frankincense essential oil, it’s been said that It could help relieve fearful feelings.
So, if you’re someone who’s constantly worried and living in fear, this oil may help diminish those feelings.
It is also said that frankincense essential oil can encourage concentration, creativity, and inspiration. Who wouldn’t want to be inspired?
Lavender Essential Oil
If you like that frankincense essential oil can relieve your fear, then you’ll love the relaxation that lavender essential oil brings to you.
Not only can it calm you down, but if you’re someone who struggles with getting a good night’s sleep, diffusing lavender essential oil may help.
Another great benefit of lavender essential oil is for those who suffer from headaches. It’s said, by breathing in lavender essential oil, it could ease that pesky headache.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
One of my personal favorites is tea tree essential oil. For one, it can boost one’s immunity.
Tea tree essential oil can kill several common bacteria and viruses, it can act like an insect repellent (who doesn’t love that!), and it has even been used as a natural deodorant.
When diffused, tea tree essential oil has been used as a natural way to freshen the air in your house, without it being overwhelming.
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
If you’re like me, sometimes you feel down. You may be lacking self-confidence, which many of us do. But this isn’t how anyone should feel.
One way to help boost your confidence, increase your self-acceptance, is by diffusing cinnamon bark essential oil.
Its warming and stimulating properties will have you developing a sense of belongingness and security.
Lemongrass Essential Oil
The last recommended essential oil on the list is certainly not the least.
Lemongrass essential oil is a fantastic oil that’s great for digestion, soothing sore muscles, and it purifies your skin!
More great benefits include supporting your mental health by promoting a positive outlook and heightening your awareness.
Lemongrass essential oil is also great for those who are feeling low on energy. If you need a pep in your step, then diffuse some lemongrass essential oil today!
There you have it, my top 5 essential oils that you should get for the new year. It’s all about feeling great, physically and mentally. These oils can help, so why not help yourself?
Bonus
That’s right, it’s bonus time! Everyone loves to get a bonus, am I right? Well, today I’ll be giving you some bonus tips on which oils you should diffuse together to enhance those oh, so, good feelings you get from one essential oil.
After a long day of work, sometimes you need to sit down and put your feet up. Then, you close your eyes, take deep breathes and try to erase any negativity you may have encountered during your day.
A good way to combat those feelings and to help you reach that “Zen” level is by diffusing Patchouli and lemon essential oils.
What about those that suffer from a cloudy brain every once in a while. Trust me, I know. I’ll be thinking of something I need to do and the next moment, the thought is gone.
By diffusing rosemary and basil essential oils together, you’ll help your brain retain information and increase productivity while combating brain fog and adrenal fatigue.
If you’re feeling a little under the weather this new year, try diffusing lemon and wild orange essential oils, to help kill airborne viruses and germs.
And finally, for those who REALLY struggle with their sleep and need something a little stronger than just lavender essential oil, try this blend:
- 7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 oz Jojoba Oil
- 3 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
- 3 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
- 5 drops Vetiver Essential Oil
- 3 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
Add this blend to a pump bottle, and shake to blend. Then, pump a few drops of oil and massage it into your chest, arms, neck, or feet.
This will have you relaxed and ready for bed in no time!
